2011 Garfield Beautification Contest

Garfield’s Planning Commission sponsored the 2011 Garfield Beautification Contest.  The goal was to inspire improvements in appearance to show pride in the community.  While many improvements around town were observed, only a few were submitted to the committee by the contest deadline on September 20th.  This year a first place cash prize will not be awarded, since the minimum number of entries (20) was not submitted.

The committee is pleased to announce the first place winner is:  Windy & Tom Tevlin at 108 3rd St, for the replacement of their exterior wall and windows.

Thanks to all of you who participated in our beautification project this year.   It is our hope that your efforts will inspire others to make a difference in our town too.
