| From the Police
Department:
Welcome to the Town of Garfield!
Garfield police services are handled by the Palouse
Police Department through an interlocal agreement. Chief Jerry
Neumann, Officer Joe Merry and Officer Brian Dentler provide coverage 7
days a week on a rotating schedule.
If you have a question or need law enforcement immediately,
please call 332-2521 and request to talk to an officer.
Just a Reminder About Solicitor's Licenses:
"All solicitors are required to have a solicitor's license, issued by
the Town. If any business, salesperson, or contractor comes to your home
to ask you to purchase goods or services, or leaves a flyer on your door
offering goods or services, you should ask to see a copy of the permit.
If there is no permit, please send the vendor to Town Hall for permit
before agreeing to purchase anything. Otherwise, if the vendor does
shoddy work or does not deliver what has been promised, there is little
the Town can do to assist you recover any loss."
We have a great community with a very low crime
rate and we depend on the citizens to help keep things peaceful.
If you see something suspicious, please report it immediately to
the dispatch center.
